Junior Teams Champions 2018

Congratulations to the team of Lane Martin, John Luebkemann, Delton Outerbridge, Tim Martin, Claude Guay and Sharon Shanahan, the Junior Teams champions of 2018. The team of Lisa Ferrari, Nick Kempe, Samantha Pickering and Richard Hall mounted a strong challenge but could not catch the leaders over the last two rounds. The other teams included some of our newer players who are to be congratulated for coming out to compete in their first teams event. Well done to all..

2018 Open Pairs Champions

Congratulations to our new Open Pairs Champions, Molly Taussig and John Glynn. A 10 table field battled it out over 57 boards all day on Saturday 3 November. Coming in a close seoond were Fabian Hupe and David Sykes, while

Diana DIel celebrated her birthday taking third place with her partner Elizabeth McKee. First in Strat
B with a strong performance in a challenging field were Jane Clipper and Mike Tait.

A pleasant day of championship bridge for all, with lunch livened up by Diana's much appreciated and tasty soup.

2018 Summer Party

After a 2 year break, the Summer Party / Decade Busters was back again on Saturday 11th August. A good time was had by all!

Youth Team head to Atlanta

Lorna Anderson and Kalreta Conyers-Steede with our youth bridge players on their way to Atlanta for the YNABC. There are 16 students attending in total, 4 from CedarBridge, 4 from BHS, and 8 from Saltus. John Burville and Mike Viotti are the other chaperones that will be meeting them in Atlanta. You may have seen some of these students at the club recently as 10 of them joined the game last Tuesday evening.

They are playing for 3 days, and will be returning on Sunday August 5th.

Farewell to Jean Johnson

In recognition of Jean's contribution to the Club over the years, there was a farewell lunch held after the Wednesday morning game on 27th July 2018. Jean is leaving the island in early July to move to England to be closer to her family.
